Anthony McCarleySuccessful Entrepreneur & Triple Crown Marathon Swimmer
A boyhood dream to swim the English Channel has become a metaphor in life, as well as in business for Anthony McCarley. Twenty years of working as a senior executive at multiple global corporations led Anthony to dream big and, in turn, to take a huge risk by leaving the corporate world behind to focus on successful startups.
While working on his first start-up, Anthony trained for and completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming (The English Channel crossing, circumnavigating Manhattan, and crossing the Catalina Channel in California). He did all three in less than one year. Preparing for, and accomplishing this dream, Anthony crystallized 35 years of business experience into transferable knowledge. He realized there are many common elements inherent to the process of preparing for and competing as a marathon swimmer and the process of preparing for and competing as a successful business executive. The goal of McCarley International is to share these common elements so that you and your business will thrive.
After selling his startup company, Anthony was invited by the CFO of Siemens Financial Services to give the keynote address at their annual senior executive planning session in Chicago. Following this speech, his popularity soared to a whole new level. The Global CEO, (in the audience that day), invited Anthony to present at their global kick-off event in Munich, attended by senior Siemens executives from around the world. His experience as a marathon swimmer is what grabbed people’s attention. Since that time, Anthony established McCarley International, which has rapidly gained many clients including an internet startup in Silicon Valley, a digital marketing firm in Madrid, an HCIT company based in Germany and Silicon Valley, and several individual executives. For each of these companies or individuals, Anthony provides customized, focused Executive Coaching.
